Birthday Crop.....

Date:  February 4, 2014

To quote the beautiful Jane Austen, "There is nothing like staying at home for real comfort."

For my birthday this year, I wasn't feeling my best.  My sister Bri moved to Texas in January and other things in my life hadn't gotten the year off to a very happy start.  But, as they always do...my mom and sister, Ginger, made my day bright and cheery.  They came over with their crafts and lots of snacks for a birthday crop!  If you don't know what a crop is...it's a full day of crafting!!  Nothing makes me happier than crafting with my best friends....aka my mom and sisters.  We were missing Bri, but it was still a relaxing and fun day.  I worked on an album that turned out so super cute.  Ginger worked on a Super Bowl candy arrangement and my mom did some sewing that turned out to be my beautiful, new craft room curtains!

I have this dream that one day I will be able to be home and turn my crafts into a career.   There's a whole world of home based businesses and I long to be a part of them.  I want a life in the arts.  I want my creativity to drive my goals and brighten my future.  I have so many ideas and desires when it comes to Etsy, YouTube and Ebay....but no time to fulfill them.  I hope that someday I will be living that dream.  But, until then....crops with my girls will absolutely do. :)

Ginger's Super Bowl bouquet!!

My good friend Maria even stopped by and dropped off a special gift.  Yep...she gave me....

Copic Markers!!!! :)

Here's my album....I made it using chipboard covers, rings and the Vintage Bliss collection by Simple Stories.

My stunning curtains that my momma made me!  I'm loving the color combo!! :)
