Christmas Shopping With the Girls!

Flashback to December 6, 2014

There's nothing I love more than spending time with my best girls!  My mom and sisters are my best friends and the fun we have together is beyond measure.  On this day, we went to Tucson for a little bit of Christmas shopping.  There's just something so comforting about having a girl's day of...shopping and eating!  Ginger and I drove up early and went to Panera Bread for our favorite shortbread cookies.  I had a hot cocoa, she had an orange juice and it was so relaxing...and delicious!

Next, we did some shopping and later on, we met my mom and sister Bri at Pita Jungle for lunch.  It was so good!  Then, we did some crafty shopping and went to the mall.  Last, we ended our day with dinner at Mimi's Cafe.  It was a wonderful day...with the BEST company!

Our Cozy Little Christmas House...

Christmas Traditions, New and Old...
December 1, 2014

Here are some pictures of our house decorated for Christmas!  I love our country style Christmas Tree and  decorations.  My house reminds me of a little country cottage at Christmas time.  It's full of burlap, plaids, reds and creams.  I'm not sure of a lot of things...but I'm sure I love our cozy little Christmas house.

This year, I wanted to start a new tradition.  My husband and I wanted to have my sister's family over for cookies, hot cocoa and a holiday movie!  They came over and Brady helped me make the hot cocoa.  We even added sprinkles, which has become a must in every cup of hot cocoa we drink now!  (It's delicious...you should try it!)  We got all snugly in the living room and watched "A Charlie Brown Christmas."  It was so simple...but so special.  I would love to make it a tradition every year.  Brysen inspected our Christmas tree most of the night, while Brady ran in and out of the kitchen for more sprinkles and more cookies. :)  It was our kickoff to Christmas...and it was absolutely heart warming.

A Day Out With the Aunties!

Flashback to November 30, 2014

My nephews are pure joy.  I adore them.  When I get to spend time with them...I feel so lucky and so blessed.  They are spunky, sweet, brave, silly, hilarious, energetic, loving little boys and I love them so much!

On this day, Bri and I decided to take them out for a fun day of festivities.  We took them to the local mall for the Festival of Trees and of course for them to have fun in the little play area (their favorite).  I love taking them to see the Christmas trees.  Their little faces light up with excitement and anticipation for their own tree.  We had a great time.

Next, we went for ice cream and soda.  Yep...we filled em' up with sugar, that's right!  They loved it and Brady was so proud that he got to drink "soda pop."  I'm so thankful that my sister, Bri has moved back home.  Taking the kids out with her is so much fun.  We work as a team...and trust me, it's necessary with these two!

Here are some fun pictures I took to capture our fun-filled day!

Here's Brady and Brysen standing in front of my work's Christmas Tree.  I helped design it.

Thanksgiving 2014

Flashback to November 27, 2014:  Thanksgiving Day

One of my favorite days of the year is Thanksgiving Day.  It starts off with me springing out of bed to prep my turkey.  Before I know it, my house is filled with the savory aroma of roasted turkey and herbs.  That's when I like to brew myself some fresh pumpkin spice coffee, in my French coffee press...and relax for a bit with my fall baking and craft magazines.  The love my family has for food is so intense that we start discussing our Thanksgiving menu way early on.  After all, there are just certain dishes that a Lee/McQuerrey/Beaman Thanksgiving would not be complete without.

Thanksgiving was a wonderful day of delicious food and loving family.  My brother Robby wasn't able to make it home for Thanksgiving and we did miss him very much.  It was still a great day though.  We had 2 turkeys, scrumptious side dishes and desserts and even a couple of fun family games with lots of prizes!  I'm already getting excited for next Thanksgiving!
